Denver Broncos get to see Bo Nix and their new rookies for the first time this week
Vasha Hunt-USA TODAY Sports

The Denver Broncos must be so antsy to see their new quarterback in the building finally. They drafted Bo Nix out of Oregon in the first round with the 12th overall pick, just months after a messy divorce with Russell Wilson and Sean Payton, which was marked by contract disputes and disagreements over team strategy.

Nix is the player they've been eyeing, as Payton has made clear. They were prepared to trade up for him, but it wasn't necessary. The Broncos have been without a quarterback for a significant period, and now they have a potential solution.

We once believed Wilson would be the Broncos' first standout quarterback since Peyton Manning. That belief was shattered. Now, the question is whether Nix can steer the franchise in a new direction. However, this transformation won't occur overnight, and it might not even materialize in his first year.

But before we can make any predictions, let's first see what he looks like in a Broncos uniform. This week, we will.

On Friday, May 10, the rookies, both drafted and undrafted, will make their way to the rookie minicamp. This is where the team will introduce them to everything they need to know and also get their first real taste of football at the pro level.

The Broncos love their draft class, but on Friday is where they see what they really have. The Broncos will end the minicamp on Sunday, May 12.
